A female motorcycle influencer, identified as Karen Sofía Quiroz Ramírez, aka BikeGirl, was killed after a lorry crashed into her motorcycle on a road. She died from injuries sustained after she lost her glasses.

This accident occurred as the 25-year-old attempted to overtake two cars on a highway in Colombia. She lost control of her bike, bumping a Chevy Spark on one side of the road and landing under a truck on the other side. Emergency medical personnel made efforts to save her, but she died at the scene.

Bikegirl had about 45,000 followers on both Instagram and TikTok. It appeared that Bikegirl predicted the accident that was to happen to her a couple of hours beforehand, according to the Daily Mail. She posted a message just prior to the accident saying that she had lost the glasses that she uses whenever she is on a bike. The message reads, “I hope I don’t crash because I’m driving without my glasses.”

“The most likely hypothesis for the accident is that the motorcyclist was traveling between two vehicles,” Transport official Jahir Andres explained. “But this situation will be subject to an investigation. The Prosecutor’s Office will proceed to clearly and precisely determine the cause of this fatal traffic accident. We will carry out the corresponding investigations, conduct the respective interviews with witnesses, and analyze the CCTV footage.”

The case is still under investigation.
