The body of a 19-year-old University of Michigan student who had been reported missing was found on Saturday, Jan. 24, according to Ann Arbor police.
Lucas Mattson was last seen walking alone on Friday, Jan. 23 at 1 a.m. amid frigid temperatures, police said. Mattson, an undergraduate student studying engineering, was found in the 1900 block of Cambridge Road, following a 20-hour search involving Ann Arbor police and the University of Michigan Police Department, according to a news release.
Authorities did not find obvious signs of trauma and don't suspect foul play at this time. The Washtenaw County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the cause and manner of death, police said.
