The 13-year-old girl who died in a house fire in Kent just three days after Christmas has been named by police as Lily Childs.

The blaze in White Admiral Way, Hamstreet, near Ashford, started just after midday on Sunday and at its height six fire crews worked to extinguish the flames, which had spread through the semi-detached property.

A second child and an adult were also taken to hospital as a result of the fire and three firefighters had minor injuries.
