Lago Vista High School cancels school Monday due to water issues

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Lago Vista High School canceled classes Monday after it was notified the school would not have water, the district announced Sunday afternoon.
“We were just notified by the City Manager that Lago Vista High School will not have water tomorrow,” the Lago Vista Independent School District stated in a social media post.
The district said an out-of-town crew will work on the issue until it is resolved in the morning.

KXAN reached out to Lago Vista ISD for a statement and will update this story when or if a statement is received.
According to the district’s social media post, staff will work remotely and will receive additional instructions from the campus. The district added that athletic practices “may be held, but athletes must bring water for hydration.”
This only applies to Lago Vista High School and according to the district, all other campuses, departments and the District will operate normally.
“We expect to resume normal operations at the high school on Tuesday and will provide additional updates as they become available,” the district said.
