A man has been jailed for rape and controlling and coercive behaviour.
Alexander Julien, 34 and from Castleford, had denied two counts of controlling and coercive behaviour and raping a woman in Wakefield in 2022 but was found guilty following a trial at Leeds Crown Court in December.
Julien was sentenced to nine years and six months' imprisonment at the same court last Thursday.
This includes a sentence of two years and six months for separate drug offences, to be served consecutively.

Julien was barred from working with children and vulnerable adults for life and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £228.
Det Con Adele Bossons of the Wakefield District Safeguarding Unit said: "I'm pleased that Julien has been handed a lengthy sentence that reflects the severity of his offending.
"Victims of this type of offending show tremendous bravery in coming forward and I hope that it brings some comfort to see justice being done after experiencing such an horrendous ordeal."
