The New Hartford Police Department is investigating the death of a 13-year-old girl, according to a statement from law enforcement.
At around 7:45 a.m. on Jan. 28, the New Hartford Police Department and the New Hartford Fire Department responded to an address on Seneca Turnpike for a report of an unresponsive female within a residence.
Upon arrival, EMTs were providing aid to a 13-year-old girl inside of her residence.

New Hartford police officials said the girl could not be revived, despite the aid of EMTs.

"No criminality nor any type of foul play is suspected at this time although a thorough investigation into the circumstances of this death must be completed and is ongoing by members of The New Hartford Police Department Criminal Investigation Division," New Hartford Police officials said in a statement.
The Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office also responded to the scene and is assisting in this ongoing investigation.
